About Me

So many cancer writings discuss what cancer takes away or what it can’t take away, but I have found that cancer brings things too. No, not simply fear, illness or death, but lessons, blessings and realizations that are so much a part of this journey.

This isn’t a journey that anyone chooses for themselves, but is a journey that anyone who becomes a caregiver for a cancer patient or anyone with a life-threatening illness, must take.

I hope to show the ups and downs, as well as the many lessons learned in my writings here.

Cancer brings a visceral need to understand; and the knowledge that comes from the nuances of knowledge (on whatever level) can be translated into self-empowerment.

I may have left this comment before, I’m not sure: the artwork you feature here is amazing and moving. Is it yours? If it’s not, I would love to know the who each of the artists are. Thank you.

Unfortunately, none of the pieces on this blog contain my original artwork. I am currently too busy to create anything new. I have found all these pieces on photobucket and unfortunately again, none of the artist’s names are listed or I would have provided an attribution for them.
